The early morning sky awaited us with pink and orange clouds as TJ and Chantel stepped out of their RV and headed into Rocky Mountain National Park for their engagement session. Clad in their hiking boots, jeans, and outdoor gear from Patagonia and The North Face, these two looked as though they had just stepped out of an outdoor magazine. The sun was just kissing the mountaintops as Chantel and TJ made their way along a stream in the meadow of the park. Taking in the beauty that was around them, they were fully present to their surroundings and the journey that has led them to this point in their relationship.Read More
Erin was totally calm and relaxed as she got her hair and make up done at our studio before her engagement session. She joked about how she had gone shopping for new outfits and tried to get her fiancé, Dave, to try a new look. She said they compromised and went with his signature blues and grays look. :-) Erin and Dave had just gotten the keys to their new house the week before their engagement session, and Erin shared how their home makeover projects have been going so far, while Claudia styled Erin to the nine’s. Erin is a hairstylist herself, so she placed a lot of trust in Claudia’s hands!Read More
On an overcast, drizzling day, Klair and Troy welcomed KLEM Studios’ associate photographer, Sara, into their apartment. Klair and Troy met at a plastic bag factory, where she asked Troy out first. Although Troy remembers a mutual connection leading towards their first date! Sara captured their silly side, as they recalled Troy picking the movie for their date at the theaters: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
Klair and Troy made each other laugh with no problems. They were silly together, and clearly showed their love towards one another, excited to document this amazing time in their lives.Read More
Chanel and Kelvin went into this in-home session with KLEM Studios’ associate photographer, Krista, knowing the two wanted to document their love for one another. Chanel also knew it was the perfect opportunity to get her sister, Krista, all the way to Fargo, North Dakota, where they lived. Chanel, having modeled in college and been in front of the camera probably more times than we can count, was ready to share the spotlight with Kelvin, who had never been in front of the camera. Needless to say, Kelvin was extremely nervous! Although Chanel didn’t say it, she was nervous too; because this photo session was with someone she deeply cared about.Read More
After a rainy morning, Olivia and Laura started their engagement session with KLEM Studios. Olivia and Laura knew they wanted to have their engagement photos taken in an outdoor space that had a wonderful water feature. I suggested the ever-beautiful Fonferek’s Glen just on the outskirts of Green Bay. The park has fields, a lovely waterfall, a creek that runs through it, and it’s a picturesque place to explore, especially on a warm sunny day. Olivia and Laura happened to pick the very first day of Pride Month for their engagement session. We were so happy to celebrate their love and freedom to love one another. The sun began poking through the clouds and gave way to a beautiful warm and glowing late afternoon.Read More
KLEM peeps, I have news I’m thrilled to share! I just launched a new service: the Photography Registry! Couples working with KLEM Studios are now able to register for products and services through me, and share this registry with friends and family. Now, your loved ones can order photography products instead of (or along with) dishes or a Crockpot for your big day.
How does this work? First you must be a client of KLEM Studios. Secondly, we will set up a chat to figure out exactly what you want on your registry. Feel free to reach out to me via email and we can customize what you want on your photo registry.Read More
On a misty and bitterly cold winter’s day, Kaylynn and Shane stepped onto the freshly fallen snow at the Brown County Reforestation Camp for their engagement session with KLEM Studios’ associate photographer, Krista. Ever the fashionable couple, Kaylynn brought a number of outfits to the session. However, the centerpiece was the stunning red gown Kaylynn bought because she was so inspired by Witney Carson’s winter engagement session. Kaylynn and Shane knew that for their engagement session, they wanted to embrace Wisconsin’s winter beauty and wander hand-in-hand among tall pine trees (and some fresh snow wouldn’t hurt!).Read More
It was a cold winter’s day when Joanna and Derek ventured out into Green Isle Park with their mastiff/weinheimer mix, Larry, for their engagement session with KLEM Studios’ associate photographer, Krista. But the chilly weather wasn’t enough to dampen Joanna and Derek’s moods! They were always laughing, giggling and had a warm embrace when they got close. They didn't take things too seriously and were down to make crazy faces, dance, snuggle and give lots of eskimo kisses. Larry was willing to do just about anything, as long as he was bribed with lots of carrots!Read More
When Adam reached out to me to photograph his proposal to his then-girlfriend, Courtney, at Lambeau Field, he had thought of every detail. He was going to tell her they had been invited to Lambeau as part of the Ultimate Fan Experience the stadium was offering. Adam and his family have been going to the Packers’ Training Camp for the past 35 years, so it wouldn’t surprise Courtney that they were invited to tour the stadium.
Adam was able to set up a private tour that took them down to the field, where he planned to drop down on one knee.Read More
Andrea and Jordan knew they wanted to create a fall engagement session that would capture their deep, exuberant love for one another. They had met at work, fell hard for one another, and Jordan’s proposal followed soon after. Self-proclaimed “weirdo goofballs”, these two are constantly smiling and making each other laugh. During their fall engagement session at UWGB, they talked about when they first knew they loved each other, and how excited they were to have recently moved into their new home. Andrea and Jordan strolled hand-in-hand along the trails in the UWGB arboretum, snuggling close as the yellow and orange leaves floated past them.Read More
Charlotte and Logan love to adventure together. Whether they’re walking their dogs, exploring new places, or trying new beers together, life is always exciting when they’re holding each other’s hand. They’re currently planning their next adventure: an amazing wedding day. Logan proposed to Charlotte on a snowy winter day just over a year ago. He pulled out all the right stops, using a dog tag on their fur baby’s collar to pop the question while Charlotte’s sister photographed the whole event. Charlotte of course said, “Yes!”Read More
There are some people in this world that are just made to be together for the rest of their lives. If you’ve ever spent time with Megan and Alex, you’ve experience just how perfectly these two fit together. I’ve had the pleasure of being friends with Megan since high school when we were in choir together (#nerdsunite!). She is a sweet soul with an amazing personality that could charm the birds out of the trees. It would take an equally incredible person to steal her heart.
Enter Alex.Read More
Dave reached out to me with his fall proposal plans a few weeks before he and his girlfriend of three years, Lauren, were going to be in Green Bay. They live in Chicago, but Lauren had visited Wisconsin often with family and friends while she was growing up. She loves this area, and Dave wanted to include this special place in his plan. Lauren thought they were going to be celebrating her new job with the weekend getaway, but Dave had more elaborate ideas. Dave knew that he wanted to propose at the Green Bay Botanical Garden in the Stumpf Belvedere.Read More
The waves of Lake Michigan crashed along the exposed cliffs at Cave Point County Park. A slight in the air, making brilliant fall colors even more pronounced. Johanna and Aaron wound their way through the trees and along the rocky shore, laughing as they walked. They had gotten engaged in Door County in January, and the area had captivated them so much that they returned for their engagement session.
Johanna and Aaron met on an online dating site, and they had instant chemistry.Read More
I believe that in life, almost everything happens for a reason. There have been so many beautiful things that have happened in this lifetime, and I enjoy looking back and seeing where it may have all started and how we got to where we are. I met Trevor and Allison in Zion National Park completely by chance. My dad and I were on a road trip that I had planned to scope out some great landscape photography opportunities for my second business, Wild Klementine. We had planned to camp for most of the time even though late fall can be very chilly in Colorado and Utah, but we spontaneously decided to spend one night at the Driftwood Lodge near Zion National Park.Read More
When Amanda and Jake were dreaming up their perfect engagement session, they shared how special it would be if they could celebrate their love story at the same place Jake proposed: Fragrant Isle Lavender Farm on Washington Island. We picked a date when the lavender would be at its peak and took the ferry across Death’s Door Strait to the island. Surrounded by a sea of purple flowers at the lavender farm, Amanda and Jake walked hand-in-hand, identifying different types of honey bees and talking about the bees they raise at their home.Read More
