Some love stories just feel like home. Taylor and Dillan’s engagement session was full of warmth, laughter, and that quiet kind of magic that happens when you’re with someone who just gets you. From crashing waves at Cave Point to golden light at Whitefish Dunes—and their pup Charlie along for the ride—it was the perfect evening to celebrate this sweet season of life.
A Friendship That Turned Into Something More
This one was extra special for me. Dillan has been friends with my husband Andy for years, and watching his relationship with Taylor blossom from afar has been such a joy. So when they asked me to document their engagement (and soon, their wedding day), it felt like the biggest honor.
Stop One: Cave Point Charm + Cozy Fall Vibes
We kicked things off at Cave Point, one of Door County’s most iconic spots and a favorite for good reason. The rugged cliffs, the sound of Lake Michigan crashing below, the crisp fall air—pure magic. Taylor and Dillan cozied up in perfectly autumnal outfits, laughing and catching up as we wandered the trails. Their dog Charlie was living its best life, sniffing everything in sight and occasionally stealing the show.
Stop Two: Golden Hour at Whitefish Dunes
For the second half of their session, we made our way to Whitefish Dunes, where the beach gave us a totally different vibe—soft, open, and sun-drenched. Taylor and Dillan changed into relaxed, beachy fits and ran barefoot along the shoreline, totally in their element. They danced in the waves, chased each other like kids, and soaked in every bit of golden hour. These are the kinds of moments I live for as a photographer—unposed, joyful, real.
A Glimpse into Their Story
Taylor and Dillan’s story started with a swipe (thank you, internet), and quickly turned into something meaningful. Since then, they’ve moved in together, adopted their beloved pup Charlie, bought a home, and created a life full of cozy routines and belly laughs. Dillan popped the question during a sushi date at Koko’s in Green Bay—simple, sweet, and so them.
The Road Ahead
Their wedding is just around the corner, and I already know it’s going to be one for the books. These two are the kind of people who make you feel instantly welcome. They love big, laugh often, and find joy in the little things. I couldn’t be more excited to continue telling their story.
