Green Bay Boudoir Photography: Miss T's Studio Session

One of the most rewarding parts of my business is meeting with amazing, strong, and heartwarming people. When I finally had the chance to meet Miss T, I saw this intelligent, thoughtful, and gorgeous woman. She reached out to me wanting to partake in this boudoir session as a gift for her husband to be for their upcoming wedding. This was the perfect alternative gift she wanted to give, something that would be super empowering to her, as well as something incredibly special for her fiancé.

We chatted ahead of time about her session, goals of her session, and what outfits to include. It was fun to see what actually came together from preparation, and Miss T’s thoughtfulness with her choices and preparation. What a fantastic gift to herself and her partner—not to mention I get to shower you with praise!

Miss T was a little bit nervous going into her session, but that’s why we love doing the prep right in the studio ahead of time. It’s a good chance to just talk, and Miss T gets a chance to breathe, be a little more at ease, and build up some of that confidence. We looked at the outfits she brought and structured them in a way that started with comfortable outfits first and then worked up into a little bit more revealing pieces towards the end. This way her confidence was built up and could become comfortable in front of the camera.

The talented hair and makeup artist, Claudia, highlighted Miss T’s natural beauty right here in the studio while we talked about Miss T’s wedding this year. She and her fiancé actually work in intertwining fields, but they first met through mutual friends. We all meet the person we’re spending the rest of our lives with in different and interesting ways, and it turns out Miss T was not initially interested. But then weeks later, her now fiancé reached out to her and things just clicked—it was meant to be!

While getting ready for her session with pampering and storytelling, Miss T even shared some funny stories between her and her fiancé working in their similar fields and finding out different happenings from each other and from their department, which makes life fun and interesting in their work life and home life. It was fun to hear the dynamic of how their lives intertwine and their connection to one another through work and affection as a couple.

For anyone, coming into your intimate photo shoot can definitely start as a nerve-wracking experience. This is why I love doing hair and makeup in the studio and taking the time to go through outfits and the session ahead of time to calm any nerves. I believe in words of affirmation and empowering fellow women, and it is fun and rewarding to see these women step into their own power and almost blossom before my eyes. Miss T laughed a lot during her session, and it was so cool to see her confidence grow after each picture. She was realizing how sexy, awesome, and worthy she absolutely was! Sometimes it just takes a little reminding and the confidence to step in front of the camera.

The amount of details Miss T included for her session really came together. She did this session just as much for her fiancé as she was doing this for herself. Miss T was able to see her images the same day as her session, and she was just blown away! She couldn’t believe that it was herself in those images, gorgeous, powerful, and sexy. It is such an empowering experience, and I am grateful to witness the transformation that women like Miss T go through, including remembering and being reminded of their worth.

We live in a world where a woman’s physical appearance is harshly judged, and no one is saved from that criticism and stereotyping. Boudoir gives women a positive place to express our bodies and ourselves without being put down from being “too thick,” “too thin,” “too revealing,” or “too old.” In this space, we can finally embrace our femininity, bravery, and even our flaws. I am so grateful to see women step into their bodies and personalities during their sessions and remind themselves of the rockstars they truly are. The amount of this lifelong judgment and overwhelming weight of people and the media for women to be a certain type of “perfection” is washed away once given a safe space and the chance to rediscover yourself and love your body again.

The photos women take away from their session are ones to be proud of and not criticize. Miss T’s photos were beautiful, and it was fun to see that she truly loved a great majority of them.  I am so proud of her for believing in herself, and I know her fiancé is going to be thrilled when he receives his wedding gift. I wish you both years of happiness, spontaneity, and love. I hope you keep this spunk and confidence from your boudoir session in your relationship in the years to come. Thank you for trusting KLEM Studios to take care of you and your boudoir vision.
