Elizabeth + Thomas’ Heartfelt Fall Wedding at Northern Haus in Door County, Wisconsin
Some weddings just feel like a deep exhale—full of warmth, quiet joy, and the kind of love that wraps around you like your favorite blanket. That was exactly the energy of Elizabeth and Thomas’ beautiful September wedding at Northern Haus in Door County. Tucked away in the forest, their day felt grounded, intentional, and incredibly heartfelt.
A Slow, Sweet Start to the Day
Elizabeth and Thomas got ready for their day surrounded by their siblings, which made everything feel intimate and personal from the start. In the bridal suite, laughter and nerves mixed in the air as Elizabeth stepped into her lace gown and veil, the room buzzing with excitement. You could feel the weight of the moment, the anticipation of something beautiful just about to unfold.
A Ceremony Among the Trees
Northern Haus’ forest ceremony space has a way of making you feel like the world is pausing just for you—and that’s exactly what it did for Elizabeth and Thomas. As guests gathered beneath the canopy of trees, the air felt still in the best way. And then Thomas, ukulele in hand, surprised Elizabeth with a serenade—a song by Noah Kahan that holds special meaning for them. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight. The way they looked at each other, completely locked in and surrounded by nature, was pure magic.
A Reception Full of Meaning
Their reception continued the deeply personal tone of the day. Elizabeth and Thomas thoughtfully included memorial photo frames for the loved ones who couldn’t be there in person. It felt like everyone who had ever shaped their lives—past and present—was somehow in the room. Their first dance was tender and full of gratitude, a quiet moment that said more than words ever could.
And then the dance floor came alive. Joy took over. Guests laughed, danced, and celebrated late into the night. It was one of those weddings where you leave with your heart feeling a little fuller.
A Day That Will Stay With Us
Elizabeth and Thomas’ wedding was more than just a beautiful celebration—it was a reminder that love is layered. It’s built on memories, on family, on the little moments and big gestures alike. Their day was peaceful and powerful, reflective and fun. A perfect beginning to their next chapter together.
We’re so honored to have captured this piece of their story. We especially appreciate the kind words Elizabeth shared about working with us:
“Kimmy was an absolute delight to work with, and it didn’t feel like work at all, really, or even awkward, but more like being photographed by a dear friend who happened to also be a professional. I would highly recommend Kimmy and the team at KLEM Studios to anyone looking to capture the magic of a special event with loved ones.”
XO,
Kimmy
