Alaina + Keeghan's Classic Winter Wedding at the Black Sheep in Green Bay, Wisconsin

The morning of Alaina and Keeghan's wedding, a winter storm dropped four inches of fresh snow on the Green Bay Area. This aligned perfectly with the winter wonderland wedding these two had been dreaming up. The staff at Black Sheep Weddings and Events was working furiously to get the parking lot cleared before the guests arrived, while Alaina and Keeghan were warm and cozy inside in their separate getting-ready suites.

Excitement filled the air; Alaina was cool as a cucumber as the final preparations were made. She looked like a queen as she was primped and pampered in the bridal suite. Her simple, yet elegant, Watters wedding dress fit like a glove, adding to the romantic vibe of their day. Meanwhile, Keeghan was starting to get a little nervous as he wrote a letter to his future wife for her to read on their wedding day.

Alaina and Keeghan chose to do a First Look before their ceremony so that they could have a private moment to be with one another and let whatever emotions came up be shared. They both shed happy tears as Alaina tapped Keeghan on the shoulder and he turned around to see his beautiful bride. After this sweet moment, they brought in their pup, Josie, so they could get a few family photos with her before heading off to their ceremony. One of the great things about planning a wedding at Black Sheep Weddings and Events is that they know how important our pets and fur babies are to us, so they are definitely okay with your sweet pups stopping by for some photos on your wedding day!

Alaina and Keeghan were wed in a beautiful ceremony at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Green Bay. The Deacon highlighted how important their marriage was, not just for the two of them, but everyone on the planet. There wasn't a dry eye in the house as Alaina and Keeghan shared the ways that they saw God in their partner.

Given the early winter sunset time and the slightly frigid temperatures, we designed the wedding day so that only Alaina and Keeghan would have outdoor wedding photos for a short amount of time at a local tree farm and at The Black Sheep. The venue has such a beautiful indoor fireplace backdrop, that's where we set up our wedding party and family photos as other guests arrived at the venue to join in the cocktail hour. Servers walked around with trays of appetizers, guests imbibed on the couple's custom cocktail, “The Josie”, which was a delicious pomegranate old-fashioned.

The newlyweds kicked off the festivities with their first dance before dinner. Even though there were many pairs of eyes upon them, Alaina and Keeghan were in their own little world. Guests dug into a delicious meal provided by Chefusion, and Alaina and Keeghan's wedding party and parents shared sweet and humorous speeches celebrating the couple. Alaina and Keeghan's story started back in high school, and it was such a treat to hear how their relationship has grown over the years. These two are such incredible individuals, which makes their partnership even more magical.

The joint father-daughter and mother-son dance lead into an all-out party on the dance floor. This crew was ready to PARTY, bringing their best dance moves to the floor. SoundFire DJ kept the music pumping all night (until they legally had to shut it down, of course), and we have a feeling the dance floor was packed all night.

Congratulations to you, Alaina and Keeghan. This was a celebration to remember, and you both deserve every moment of joy and happiness. We wish you a lifetime of true love, adventure, and puppy snuggles.

Much love and appreciation,

Kate (and Kimmy!)
