Virginia Barn Wedding: Allison + Trevor Say I Do!

Allison and Trevor are such a fun, amazing couple. I happened to meet them adventuring out in Zion National Park on the day they got engaged, where I offered to document their engagement with a spontaneous session up in the canyon. They are super adventurous, and Allison and Trevor’s lives crossed paths so many times in the past, weaving their journeys together starting at Virginia Tech where they actually had a class together, all the way to Madison, WI where they worked for the same company. It was in Madison where Allison and Trevor knew that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.

Following their hearts and need for adventure, they made a spontaneous decision to quit their jobs and travel around the country together. It was on that trip Trevor proposed!

Trevor’s family has a beautifully remodeled barn where the wedding was held with a tented reception. The details were on point keeping with the adventure theme, from the custom-made stickers to the national parks centerpieces, every detail was thought out and definitely complemented Allison and Trevor.

Allison stayed true to her roots by wearing cowboy boots under her amazingly gorgeous dress. Trevor looked dapper and handsome in his navy blue suit while their incredible wedding party kept Allison and Trevor laughing, hydrated, and worry-free as the night went on smoothly. Their families were thrilled to see these two get married and know that Allison and Trevor were spending the rest of their lives together.

The entire day was not only about Allison and Trevor, but also the importance of family. Trevor’s dad was the officiant, and Allison’s three sisters did a combined speech during the reception where they all talked about their own unique experiences with Allison growing up. Friends and family enjoyed the storytelling and the Vienna Lager on tap, which I loved!

These two are just so in love. They snuggled easily, gave kisses often, hugged all night long, and were verbally affectionate as well. Allison and Trevor’s smiles never left their faces as they took in the day’s events. Allison and Trevor shared their first dance outside under the tent and beautiful clear sky. Taking in the vast light reflecting off the biggest moon of the season, we ventured outside to snap some pictures with the harvest moon as the icing on the cake to their adventure themed wedding.

We wish Allison and Trevor a lifetime of adventure, love, and friendship, and I can’t wait for our paths to cross again!
