Kohler Wedding Photography: Alyssa and Richard's Manitowoc Wedding

I'm the type of person that believes that most things happen for a reason. I'm not going to say EVERYTHING happens for a reason because, come on, was there some big, divine reason that I wasted five minutes of my morning scrolling on social media to snuggle with my dogs a little longer? Probably not, but I digress.

I first met Alyssa when she contacted me this summer about booking a portrait session with me. She mentioned she was getting married this September and wanted her session before then. We talked and laughed during the session and got to know each other a little better. A few days after her session, before even seeing the images, asking to book a wedding anniversary session next year. After some talking back and forth, Alyssa upgraded me and asked me to be her wedding photographer for her September wedding. I was so thrilled to know that we had both connected on the same level, so much so that she was entrusting me with the honor of capturing her wedding day.

Surrounded by an intimate group of family and friends, Alyssa and Richard made promises to one another and pledged to spend forever together. Their unity ceremony included Richard's three children and officially brought the family together as one. Their gentle, sweet love was amplified as we walked around Silver Creek Park in Manitowoc. They walked hand-in-hand and whispered sweet nothings to one another, almost forgetting that we were capturing these moments. Alyssa and Richard are playful together and do a wonderful job of keeping their relationship light-hearted while fully supporting one another.

Alyssa and Richard know how to get the party started. After a buffet dinner in the Holiday Inn atrium, Alyssa and Richard took to the dance floor, hardly stepping off of it for the rest of the night. Alyssa and Richard, you are an inspiration with your youthful personalities and spontaneity. May you have a lifetime of love and happiness.

Much love and appreciation,
Kate
